Default Interior lights in Foot Wells

We just aquired a 1994 Camero coupe, 3.4ltr, 5 speed. The wells where your feet hang out are really dark at night. Im going to install lights close to the floor that are tied into the interior/dome lights. Where would the best place to tie into the existing wiring?

could tie in at the headlight switch on the dash or at the light switch at the door jamb.

I used the power source that was going to the ash tray light in the console. It has power whenever the headlights are on for some accent lighting when driving at night. Then I tied into the wiring going to the rear view mirror lights in the drivers side a pillar to add LED lights in the footwells that come on when you open the door.

These are the lights that come on when the doors open:

These are the lights that come on with the headlights (gives a soft glow at night). There is also a lone blue LED in the CD storage area of the console.

I'd wire them into the door jam switch so they come on when you open the doors. Could also run them on an aftermarket switch in the console: like so-

I have blue lights under my dash and under the backs of my front seats that light up all te floor boards but mine are wired into my sub amplifier so they flash with the music!
