Unhappy ArmorAll Wipes

Got ArmorAll Wipes as a gift, and scrubbed down the dash in teh 95 Z28 I just bought.

After drying, and in daylight, you can tell where I rubbed hard, leaving fadded swirls in the grey plastic...

Any remedy for this? May be cleaner, but the dash looks worse!

tks

Windex also does a god job on plastic parts, and of course on all the windows. The only thing ArmorAll is good for is to collect dust and turn it into a sticky mess.

Sounds like the damage you have done can not be reversed. Armor all is an oil based lubricant shine that dries out any part of the vehicle, very poor product that should be removed from sale because of its false advertisement and lack of warning towards damage of vehicle. Sorry to hear that.

I've found that 303 Aerospace Protectant works well, for the dash and interior and I use it for rubber under the hood, tires, etc. Does not leave a bright shine like armor all and does not collect dust.

If armor all dries out the material, then why is it specified for use on dashboards and such?

303 aerospace is the best i've ever used as well. There are some specialty vinyl cleaners you can get. I've also heard that pledge and even wd40 work fairly well. Armor is death for our already weak dash pads.
