Default Z28 Sway bars

I'm looking at a sway bar off a '99 Z28, and was wanting to make sure that is anything different that what my car has stock. I have a base '02 V6. So, is it?

The Z28 should have a bigger sway bar. You're gonna wanna change the front one too. It's not good to change just one or the other.

It is the front I'm looking at. Of course, I didn't tell you that, though [whoops]. I was planning on getting a rear as well, and doing those at once. I'll need new bushings for it, but will I need new endlinks as well? Engine mods I get...suspension mods...I'm lost really quickly.

Best bet is go with SS sways (easily found cheap/used, and what I put on my RS), either way they will fit, but you will need new body mounts and endlinks:

RS (V6) stock is 28mm front, 15mm rear
Z/28 stock is 30mm front, 19mm rear
SS stock is 32mm front, 19mm rear
1LE SS 35mm front, 21mm rear

Strano 35mm front, 22mm rear

Thanks for the info Liberty!
Just curious, where are you finding sway bars so easily?

BTW, I loved reading your RS build. It was really fun to watch the progress.

^ My SS Sways came off my SS (SS had its sways replaced with Strano's hollow 35/22 sways), but you can find them on ebay or LS1Tech for sale section easily. Also watch craigslist...

I never did an RS build thread, guess I should have, but it's been all piecemeal posts, but thanks.

I don't know where I got this, but I got it in my head that this was yours, Liberty.
