Everybody knows that before buying a car you run the numbers and if hes advertising it as a SS when is not and then the buyer looks up at the tag and notices that it is not SS itmay getcomplicated. If he is trying to sell it on ebay for example he could get in trouble.

In that case is up to you. In my opinion it does not matter. It could be ss z28 ora regular camaro. all it matters is whats inside. ;-)
Do not spend more $$$ on the looks that the performance keep it balance.
