Default Z28 SLP exhaust

I bought an SLP Loudmouth II cat-back system. I had it installed yesterday, and the custom exhaust shop just called me and said it is all finished. I havnt heard it yet. Anybody else have this setup? Iam still running stock headers, and stock cats. opinions?

No. I havnt picked up the car yet. The 2 is for sure quieter than the Loudmouth 1. A deeper tone is what ive heard. My car didnt have the "Service engine soon" light lit like most of these camaros do. Will this probably make it come on? I imagine there is less back pressure with this system opposed to stock. Car has not been tuned.

if your planning more modifications then wait to have tuned. if nothing in the forseeable future then a tune would be a good idea. LT1 PCM Tuning - OBDI/OBDII PCM Tuning/Programming Service

I do not plan to do anything more to it. What will a tune do for me?

Will this exhaust add any power from the stock setup? Or do i need to tune it to get the full effect?

It'll add a little more power, but it won't see it's full potential without replacing the stock manifolds with headers. And then a tune after that to gain a few more ponies.

that video is what made me buy this system. I love it so much right now. It looks really good from behind, I love how there is no muffler back there, just two pipes. looks really clean. sounds great. the LM2 is awesome!

I have the LM2 with BBK longtubes and an ory. I also had the LM2 on stock manis and stock y pipe. You won't get a check engine light with just a cat-back. What you are referring to comes with the install of longtubes and an ORY; the removal of the cats throws the light on.

Without headers it was decently loud but tame and not obnoxious. Very little rasp with the lm2 compared to the lm1. With the longtubes and ory it is a helluva lot louder, and now has quite a bit of rasp between 3000 and 4000 rpm.

You won't pickup much power from just a catback. The most restrictive exhaust part on these cars is in the manifolds and merge of the y pipe.
