Default Y pipe question

I just installed the SLP Y pipe and now the factory tunnel brace don't fit. Is this normal with aftermarket Y pipes?

Or should I try to loosen the bolts on the Y pipe and try to jack the pipes up so it will clear the factory tunnel brace?

Also I just installed a Corsa catback will I notice a difference with the sound with the bigger Y pipe?

Thanks!

i have kooks headers and y and they fit without the crossmember for headers. can you adjust it so it fits. i had one piece cut and a side streached so they fit together so it was easier to work with and seemed to fit better.

this is the header tunnel brace, i switched to the non header one for more ground clearance.

some header setups require a header style crossmember. kooks is one of the only ones that does not. from what i can find slp should fit without issues. what y pipe did you get and from where?

When I did my BBK longtubes, the crossmember did not fit. I debated on if I should add washers to the bolts to add clearance, but after doing searching on tech, it seemed most people just forget it or go aftermarket

I had tried to push up the SLP y pipe with no luck getting the stock brace to go back on so I had to use 2 nuts and longer bolts to space it down.
