You are replacing the pump? It would be considered normal for a failing pump to work a few more times after hitting the tank. It is one of those, "if I hit the tank with a mallet then it starts we know its a bad pump".

Yes, I will still replace it, I know its just a matter of time till it goes again. What is that top wire supposed to plug in to. The one in the pic I posted.

I would have to dig through the manual and I am not 100% where you are. Have you searched the manual yet?

should be a place to plug it in at the top of the center of the rearend.
