Default Wiring problems, need assistance.

Just picked up a Valentine V1 and I want to hardwire it in so I don't have a cord hanging down to my accessory plug. Normally I would know how to do this, but once again my lack of experience with newer vehicles is showing. I simply need to locate a "hot" wire that will come on when the ignition is engaged and preferably dead when the ignition is off. There'ssuch a cluster **** of wires I'm afraid of tapping into something I shouldn't. I had the A-Pillar cover off and found the wires to the rearview mirror but am not sure if they'll be hot unless the map lights are on.I've included a couple of pictures and would appreciate knowing if any of them would be appropriate candidates in the pictures or elsewhere.

The other pictures are of a toggle switch and some wires running to it. The last picture is ashot of the drivers side near the brake and clutch pedal. I honestly don't have the slightest idea as to what it's for. I bought the car with an amp and some subwoofers, but even when I unplug the switch, breaking the circuit, it seems to have no effect, any ideas?
