Wiper linkage bushings
Ive tried to trouble shoot my wipers because they went clunk. Craby posted a few times on other threads and said to check #19 on 4th Gen: How-to and FAQ - Have an issue? So, took everything apart and had to casted custom rubber bushings for the motor assembly because they were pretty much cut in half and i couldn't find them new. #18 on http://www.shbox.com/1/wiper_motor.jpg then the ball and socket style bushings on the linkage have too much play. Now when I connect them they just pop off when the wipers are on. Thought i put them on wrong so i reconnected them to different sides, but there are only so many way to connect 2 linkage bars. Tried to find new bushings online, but nope. Cant find them. 100s for other vehicles, but non for carmaro. Found them if i buy a whole new linkage, but 100 monies seems kinda steep since all I need is 10 bucks worth of bushings. Could go to a parts yard, but id like new bushings so this doesn't happen again. My motor seems to work fine. Normal operation from what i can tell.
Can I buy bushings for another gm vehicle? Anyone have this problem, because I like my wipers and now i don't have any.

^ That's the rubber insulator motor mount grommet that goes on the bracket that the motor is mounted to, and is bolted to the body. He's looking for the linkage arm bushing.
How about a new replacement arm/transmission assembly? ACDELCO OE SERVICE 22122256 Wiper Motor Transmission & Linkage | eBay
Yeah, that was the whole new 100 monies linkage I was referring too. I was afraid of it leaning toward that direction. New tires with new rack and pinion plus alignment. $10 bushing sound better right about now.
But this one's almost 6 bucks cheaper.
Might have to bite the bullet if you can't find the bushings separately. It's not a very common replacement item, which would explain why they're hard or impossible to find. rockauto has the same transmission assembly for 84.79, plus shipping. And....they are offering a 5% discount to Camaro Forums members, which will put you under 90 bucks delivered: https://camaroforums.com/forum/vendo...-2012-a-70576/
