Exactly! I'll admit, my camaro isn't a show car, so why not enjoy the hell out of it?
i love my camaro and they love salting the roads where i live so i dont risk it. on a nice day, yeah i might take her to work or something, but i really dont have to during the winter since i have a truck as well. makes no sense to me to risk it if i have a durable, winter vehicle
When I had my 3.4 94, I drove it in the winter. With good tires, it did alright. I didn't go out of my way to purposely drive in the snow, only if it snowed on me while at work. My 96 Z28 got parked in the winter, as I knew that much more torque mixed with snow wasn't going to go together well.
By the way, salt likes heat to attack the metal on your car. If you leave the car outside in the freezing temps, and not in the garage (where you think you're keeping it safe), the salt won't get to it so much. Then take it to a car wash to clean the underbody as soon as the slushy salty roads clear.

With the limited slip posi rear end, traction control, a couple of bags of weight in the rear, and good tread you couldn't ask for a better winter handling car.
However, I to am a wuss when it comes to getting my Camaro dirty so it stays in the garage when the roads are wet and I drive the truck.

Lmao, what?! I have new tires and about 50 pounds of weight in the back with the subs, box, and amp and I couldn't keep my rear end straight in like 1/8" of snow. And I was only going like 25 mph and had her dropped into a lower gear. NEVER again. Get a cheap winter beater with 4 wheel drive and preserve a beautiful car. Then you can plow through 4 feet of snow and not care about salt and rust or getting hit/hitting something. I can't stand seeing an fbody covered in salt or trying to brave weather than it doesn't belong in.
i don´t want to drive my Camaro in the winter. It´s summer car and I don´t want to take the risk that one of all the idiots in this town that just have taken their driverlicens and spends the winter trying to drift in the snow will hit it. So in the winter I drive my Mercedes 300CE insted.
they don´t salt the roads here in the north of sweden so It´s not so bad on the car. If they would have salted the roads I would have bought a pice of thit car to drive in the winter

My V6 handles fine in the snow. Snow tires+weight+traction control. Never had an issue, and I have driven it through some good snow. These cars are incredibly fun in the snow. I probably have more fun in the V6 in an empty, snow covered parking lot than driving it on a warm sunny day.
well I didn't mean to cause a big stir, just sayin that you can drive a Camaro in the snow. But since I bought mine I have found that I paid too much for it. It's a great car, I love it, but it's closer to its last leg than it is to being mint condition. But I keep her running the best I can with the limited money I have. Since buying my Camaro in Jan of this year I've had to do the following:
*Replace front seal in transmission(something went wrong because reverse only works when car is cold afterwards)
*Replace starter
*Replace thermostat
*Replace wiper assembly
*Changed front brakes and rotors(noticed sway bar was cracked/broke)
I know that seems like simple stuff to some of you all but that stuff adds up when you're on a tight budget. I will get me a Z28 one of these days but for now I'm enjoying my 3.4

My Z handles pretty well in the snow. Granted, I do not drive it if we are having a blizzard. Anyways, having a truck with a V10 engine at today's gas prices makes me reserve the truck for blizzards. The Z gets washed underneath when the roads dry up.
Its a pretty car worthy of preservation but in the end a car, a means of transportation lol.
