ok, so i cant figure this out. When i bought the car, the windshield wipers would come up from their down position, and work, but then they won't go back down to their hidden state. Then, they started going down on their own when it urned them off...well..that lasted for a month. SO...now they won't go down on their own, and they're a pain in the *** to see over....what to fix??

...anyone? this is really starting to get annoying...lol. i dont know anything about the wiper setup so...i don't know what to try to trouble shoot..

 

Without being able to actually look,my Scientific Wild AssGuess (SWAG) isthat either the linkage is messed up, or a new wiper motor is needed, or that the wiper switch went bad. You can check the switch by disconnecting itfrom the wiper motor. If the blades now park themselves, the switch is bad. (Connector 215 inside steering column housing, black connector with 11 pins and 9 wires.)
