windshield scratches

Default windshield scratches

my 95 camaro has scratches that apparently came from a set of worn out wipers. i know it is scratches and not rubber. the glare is real bad at night. has anyone had this problem and how can i fix it without replacing the windshield?

I have that same problem on the very bottom of the windshield. Apparently the last owner didnt give a -bleep- about how he treated this machine of awesomeness. Glad I changed the blades. Idk if a good resin will help or not I'm wondering the same thing you are

might try a scratch removal kit. i am thinking of trying it to see if it works. Pro Glass Polishing Kit for Deep Scratches if you put the wrong wiper blades on these the metal hits the glass. thats what it looks like happened on mine. i

where do we get new OEM-type wipers? dealer says GM no longer supplies...

only place i could find the oem blades. GM Factory Replacement Parts 22121694 - BLADE ASM |

Depending on how deep the scratches are, I clay bar and polish my glass in the fall and spring using a power ball. They also make a resin filler for small cracks that can be used on some scratches.

tks again. the Trico seems too available to fit right, gotta be a fix!

yes i got some at advance auto, they had to order them. i made them put them on so i knew they were the right ones before i left the dang store.
