I really don't understand this someone please explain

Also if I went unloaded and only drove the car on non rainy days and not in the winter would I be okay? ( I've read a million threads about just go coated so I've heard that enough times etc...)

the temperatures the headers can reach is much higher than the rest of the exhaust. By the time the exhaust gases hit the y pipe, they have already cooled and will continue to cool as they move through the rest of the exhaust.

you also have much cooler air temperatures under the car...especially while in motion...contributing to cooling the exhaust system. The fact that our engine bays on 4th gens are cramped... to say the least... contributes to much higher temps in the engine bay.

the stainless is not pure stainless so with the high heat it will react. shouldnt rust out like steel. alot depends on the quality of the stainless steel. if they were pure stainless headers would cost thousands.
