Paint is expensive but DO NOT cheap out, I recommend a local shop of some sort that is owned by someone local, ie not autozone if you can even order paint through them lol

Find an autobody supply store near you and see if you can buy from them. Some states do not allow the sale of paint to just any one. They are also a good place to get any sanding materials and blocks you may need to get the car sanded down properly. DO NOT hand sand the car, it will look like hell no matter how good the paint is. Oh and be prepaired to spend about $800-$1000 for all the paint supplies you will need to get the job done.

HUH? What are you talking about? I have met several people that are not professional painters that have laid down some show winning colors. It does not take a professional to paint a complete paint job, that is easy but it takes great skills to match and blend old and new paint to make it look like it has never been painted.
