Where to refill diff oil
My rear diff has a slow leak. It's wet and there are a few drip marks in my parking spot. I understand I will have to replace the gasket, but can I just top it off for now? Is there a plug anywhere to check the level?
Anyone with experience changing out this gasket? Tough job or easy?

Plug will be passenger side, top of diff. You'll need a 3/8 ratchet and small 3/8 extension to get it out. Be careful not to strip it. I'd also stop at a parts store and get a allen plug to make it easier next time. Gasket replacement is simple. Make sure to use the correct gear oil, I believe 75w-90 is it.
Edit: It's 80W-90, 1.75 quarts.

I can't remember who makes it, but it's called Posi-trax. You can find it at any local parts store. However, depending on what gear oil one was to go with, some say they do not require it, such as the Lucas type. While others say that if you don't put the additive in, you'll get lots of strange noises from the rear end, I've used the Lucas stuff and haven't had anything out of the ordinary, so that is a personal choice. Will adding the additive to the Lucas hurt it? Certainly not. Also, do NOT use synthetic with a LSD rear.
