What should I do?!?!
I just found out my "syncros" in my transmission are worn out. I talked to two shops and they both quoted me $2000 - $2500 to pretty much rebuild it. I've already put about $2500 in the car since I bought it almost 3 years ago. I really don't have the money right to to fix it right now. I was thinking of either selling it the way it is and get as much out of it as I can or driving it until it isn't drivable any more and sell it. I have no idea what I can get out of it but I'm hoping around $2k. If I can get 2 out of it then I might be able to get around enough money to upgrade to a Z28. So should I fix it and drive it or sell it and buy a 2000's Z28? Also the 2010 Camaro is out of the question.. I'm a broke full time college student . Thanks guys.

I would say that is a little high for a rebuild on a T56. You can pick up a built one from RPM transmissions for about 2300-3000 depending on what level you are going for.

yeah I thought it was steep too but I took it to another shop and they gave me the same quote. There's just no way I can afford to put any more money into this car. How exactly does this so called double clutching work? If I can figure out a way to drive it like it is for a while it would help out a lot. I've heard the term "double clutching" before but have no idea how to do it?
