Default what the hell did we buy

we wanted a project car and came across these pics in an ad..

hood was replaced but I didn't get an answer as to why.

here's what I got when my boys brought it home..

it's got some YENKYO sticker under the hood and a small dash badge..

it's a v6 5spd, full dual exhaust with large rectangle outputs, but this car is way faster than my cobra, so I'm at a loss..

It might just have a lot of mods they added to it and decals. But Yenko wasn't an option on the 4th gen camaros.

welcome newb

since I get in trouble from newbies for being truthful I won't even discuss the questionable statement about the Cobra being slower than a sixer 4th gen maro unless the cobra is a Mustang2 from the late 70's or is running on 4 cylinders

Now, to your car

you either have a sixer with riced out tail lights, smoked headlights, stock Z28 exhaust tips and an Ebay hockey stripe where you can get any letters added to the stripe (I had LT1 put on mine)

Or, you have one of those very very very extremely rare Yenko 4th gen sixers with variable cam timing, and a hidden dual turbocharger putting 800 HP to the ground

why not take a few under hood photos and all speculation and guessing will be put to an end

^ Yeah that. And get your Cobra fixed, there's something wrong with it!

ok I went out and took some pics

they're definetly not just average addon tip, they're part of the exhaust

there's a YENKO sticker under the hood

the rest I can't tell you because I don't know..

Look like regular Z28 tips to me, just welded on. As far as the cars go, Yenko never took any 4th gens and done anything to them, as mentioned.

Long story short, "What the hell did you buy"? A V6 Camaro with a added stripe kit, a sticker, and a modified exhaust.

Everything looks bone stock to me. Someone has plyed with the exhaust but it does not look like it was done by a pro. No way was it Yenko. They would have prettied it up some. Everything under the hood looks stock. The 3800 5 speed is a preppy little car even stock. Yours does not even have a header upgrade yet.

Looks like most of the mods to that car came with sticky stuff on the back. My guess would be the last owner had a SS hood on it and he sold it because he knew he could get $800 for it. FYI a full dual exhaust would mean 2 mufflers. Yours looks stock based on the pics.
