Default What is this ground for?

I was working on my coolant system and I found this broken ground. It's going from the frame in the picture to the engine block on the driver's side. I don't know how long it's been broke, but as you can see in the other pic it's as brittle as can be. Do I need to replace this, and if so where can I get a cable like this?

That's a ground strap that ties the frame and body together electrically. Yes you need to replace that, without it some things may not work correctly or will start to act up on you. A 10 ga. stranded wire would be sufficient, or you could put on a battery cable (my preference). You can get that at an auto parts store.
