Default water in ny tail lights?

So I'm getting water in my tail light housing everytime I wash the car or it rains. Would that mean there's a problem with the housing? Or could there be a problem with the actual body of the car? Any input will be greatly appreciated.

the seal between the front and rear sections of the housing are prone to fail. easiest fix is to drill a small hole in the bottom to let the water out.

Yup, as Craby said they are prone to separation which allows the water to get in. I tried re-sealing mine with some silicone sealant (for flexibility), but it didn't last.

So drilling the hole would be my best bet huh? That one light keeps popping cause of the water.

yeah that works pretty well (drilling holes) I drilled three small holes in the bottom of mine about......5 or 6 years ago. Havent had a problem with blow out tail lights since.

Just make sure the holes are big enough to let any dirt that may wash through with the water also wash out and not clog the hole .
