I have a 2000 6 cyl chevy camaro and the other day I was driving down the road and my v belt just flew off and I had it towed home and fix the belt.But now my water keeps disappearing when I add it to the radiator.I changed the thermostat and flushed the radiator,but the water still want stay.I thought maybe it was a blown head gasket but I am not sure.The water hose on top gets hot but the one under is cold when I run it.It does not show it is running hot and the oil is fine.But when it is running the water bubbles up and the hoses shake.If anyone has any Idea what it could be please help me out.Thanks

 

The simplest problem to fix would be air bubbles in the system. Does the V6 have the same special coolant filling procedure as the V8?

Bubbles in your radiator is NOT a good sign. You most likely have a blown headgasket. Search Youtube for Pressure testing your coolant system. Borrow a pressure tester from your local parts store that has a lend a tool program.

 

And, water doesn't just "disappear". If it isn't leaking on the outside, it's being sucked in somewhere on the inside, which means a tear apart.

 

Or it could be your water pump not passing the water and then it gets too hot and boils away. Seems lime the most likely answer if you are not getting it to the bottom. Maybe your water link seized and knocked the belt off.
