VHT Nightshade and Taillight Repair

VHT Nightshade and Taillight Repair
Okay so I bought a taillight from a member here awhile back. It has a minor crack in it, no big deal. I'd like to nightshade my taillights I'm wondering if that will seal up this crack and if it will keep the clear plastic in its place.

Dude. I had a crack in mine just like that. Yesterday me and my dad VHT'd my taillights. Here's what they look like. Don't pay attention to the mess or the dirty car..
Edit: Me and my dad 1200 grit sanded and then buffed them really good before we Nite Shaded.
