Question Valve Adjustment on LT1

I replaced the LT1 engine in my 1994 Z28 back in March, currently have about 10,000 miles on it. Runs great! Recently I have heard it 'ticking', normally after it has warmed up. Still runs just fine, just ticks. Someone suggested that it needs the valves adjusted, does that sound right? And what all is involved with it?

could be try to see if it sounds like it is coming from the top end. To adjust the valves follow these How to adjust valves on a chevy small block engine These explain it pretty well. Just check in a service manual or someone one here who knows how many turns after zero lash, I believe it is the standard 3/4 turn like the rest of sbc's but not sure.

thats normal. 40 is center. well,,, about 40. stock the factory book for 93 lt1 calls for 1 full turn. 3/4 turn is fine as well. i am using 1/2 turn which is what comp cams called for with there 1.6 rockers.
