Default V6 Auto to Manual Tranny Swap

Alright guys, so I was in the process of buying a another car when the plans fell through and reality smacked me in the face (being the fact that im 19 and I have points on my insurance, of course im naive). Anyways. I need help of the listing of what I will need from a manual tranny to be able to take out and switch with my auto tranny. Not to mention how much you guys think this will run me. Also, I was wondering If I would be able to put a manual tranny in from a Z28 even though I have a V6 but only for the sole purpose that I'll eventually get an LS1 swap. You know, so i wont have to buy a V6 Manual tranny then later down the road buy a Z28 tranny and engine. Wake me up! I'm a naive kid and I need to learn more about this car!

Thanks guys, Trey

@#$^^%^#@%$&**&^(*)

you are not new here you have 71 posts by the time I write this... Have you not read anything we have said about doing this?

Get a whole doner car and you might as well find one with a M6 and do the LS1 too because it is just about as complex, minus the brake lines.

There are a couple links in the thread. The 6 speed into the V6 thing is a all custom job. Unless you have a machine shop to make parts it will cost you thousands.

Not worth it. Just save up, sell on craigslist, and buy a Z28 M6.
