Default Tuner

Well ill get right to the point, i have a 2001 ss camaro with an air lid, k&n, free mods, anda slp catback. Its a start but i still havent felt the big power boost yet. So i was thinking of gettingthe slp performance tuner. Does anyone out there no anything about this and if its worth the $450? Now i know most of u guys are guna say "well if you want power go nitrous or get acam" but i cant yet until my pockets get a little deeper. So i figured id find adifferent increase of hp mod. Any info on this would be great

Forget about a hand held tuner, unless all you want to do is recalibrate the ECU for a rear gear change. You are fine on that stock tune

I'd say your next mod should be a good set of Long Tube headers and a good Y pipe, that's kinda the next thing in the bolt-on list.

Agreed that LT headers should be next. there you will feel some power gain. I would NOT get SLP headers. There are better headers out there that are cheaper. I personally have Pacesetter and with my mods my car made 469rwhp.They are proven and they sound great. Not only is the install way easier, the primaries are 1 3/4" too. Coated they are like $$379 or so! They always have deals on them somewhere, so you can get them even cheaper or free shipping...etc. Many people on LS1tech , here and anywhere will tell you that slp's are just over priced and the install is not as easy.

They have the headers and Y pipe here for $519 shipped
