Default Tune Up Help

Ok guys so I am going to be replacing the optispark and doing a tune-up this weekend. So far I have the following items:

-Opti
-MSD Cap and Rotor
-Summit Plug Wires
-Opti Harness
-Autolite Plugs

I should be getting a new water-pump tomorrow also. Is there anything else I should be getting or doing while I am in there? I read something on here about oil seals? Also I know i should loctite down the screws on the opti and put sealant on it. Where at exactly?

would be a good time to replace the seals on the front cover. water pump drive seal, opti drive seal, crankshaft seal. there is a way to make a waterpump seal install tool from a marker cap. 69 made one up that worked great. https://camaroforums.com/forum/lt1-l...ve-seal-43601/

Can I get those seals from my local autoparts store? I get steep discounts there and obviously if I am doing this this weekend They wouldn't ship here in time lol. And yeah I brought that up because I saw 69's marker cap guide.

Loctite the rotor screws, RTV where the cap mates to the body.
Make sure the tabs on the opti matches up to the drive hub, and ease the opti on by hand till it's set all the way back.
Do not "pull it on" by the mounting bolts.

Roger that. Autolites because when I was doing my order on summit they only had (3) of the plugs that I wanted in stock. Seeing as Ive used Autolites in pretty much everything else I just went with them as the alternative. Mistake?

And, you're gonna swear it is, but the lower pulley is not pressed onto the hub. You can rap it off from the back side using a block of wood and hammer, alternating from side to side. When the rust and crud is cleaned off the mating surfaces of the hub and pulley, the pulley will slide right back on with ease. Also pay attention to the line-up arrow on the hub and line on the pulley.
