Ya it's cheaper to go to the states and have one brought back by either flying it in or driving it back. Also with the t-tops off and the windows down you'll get lots of wind.

That drive through Columbia could be treacherous though, I hear it has a lot of bad "neighborhoods" lol.

I thought of doing something similar, not a convertible but a targa top kind of like a corvette. I've never seen that on a camaro hence the reason I would want it, but that is alot of work, and I'm not sure where to start (good with body metal, but not that good)

Yeah I'm in love I actually took it to a body shop this morning, he said he could do it, but it would be $9,000 for tempered glass top like corvette. He said he's done this on a firebird a few years back. Tempting but expensive.

Driving through Columbia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and then to the US.......... OMG. it would take months and thousands dollars in gas just to reach the states. and probably I wont be able to get in.. .

Do you know if the webasto guys works on custom orders like this one?
