Question Trying to lower 2000 Camaro SS

Hello All! I'm trying to lower my 2000 Chevy Camaro SS (Convertible) about 1" to 1.5". Other than the lowering springs, what else am I going to need? I was told to replace the shocks and struts, but do I need shorter ones? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My car was lowered around 1.5" but sits about 2" lower by the previous owner, so I'm not sure what all he used, but I know the shocks were not replaced, I had to do that because they were shot, but I just got some Monroes from Advance Auto. Also keep in mind you might need to realign the car. My car was not realigned and it caused horrible wear on the insides of all my tires. It was enough to make them fail inspection and I had to get all new tires because of it.

I lowered mine 1.8" in the front although it sits lower than that, I can only put three fingers between the scrape bar and the ground, and everything is fine. Although I did not get it aligned and probably should.
