2000 Sway bars, panhard bar, lower control arms?
Which suspension parts do you guys think are a must. I don't want to over buy but I want to make sure I get everything I need that will be worth while and the biggest notice differencer. I've got a 2000 Z28, I'm looking to get a set of sway bars, lower control arms, and a panhard bar. Also a strut tower brace. Is that good enough, or should I get a torque arm, and a driveshaft loop support. And suggestions will help! Thanks.
I feel that if you intend on dragracing I would go ahead and get the torgue arm also. The lower control arms are a must the rubber is just junk, I like anything I can grease. The panhard bar is good if you are into cornering. The one thing I really know you are going to need is subframe connectors and the strut brace by making the car more ridged it has to work better.
ONLY ONLY ONLY way to make the strut tower braces effective is you have stiffer strut mounting bushings!!! But yes you will notice a difference, sub frame connectors, exhaust, intake, camshaft, throttle body, valve work, and there is no such thing as overbuying. Do you have a manual or auto? Shift kit, higher stall speed torque converter or if you got a manual, get a tranny fluid flush and put synthetic syncro mesh fluid. You'll notice a lot more performance. Hypertech tuner, larger thottle body. How many miles you got on your car?
the possibilites are endless but biggest bang for the buck are the sway bars. from there new springs would be nice and then get rid of your stock rubber bushings. this is where you are going to get your best bang for the buck. from there maybe the subframe connectors. the driveshaft loop is not going to help you at all, that is strictly a safety measure and the strut tower brace is not all that important on an F-body like it is on a Fox chassis
