Default Trunk Release Motor

My trunk release motor is getting pretty weak. Anyone ever change one? What is it called? Can you only get them at GM dealers or online? I tried to do a search but came up empty.

when i first got my 4th generation chevrolet camaro, it took me 15 minutes to figure out where the release button was!!!
but try rear hatch motor, actuator, or regulator

GM OEM would have exactly what you are looking for. however it will be pricey. im sure your local Napa or autozone can ordre you one that works just as good as the factory one for a lot less.
changing it should be pretty easy. pull back the carpet, unplug the connector, and replace. make sure its lined up with the 'hook' on the hatch so it closed properly

Did some research. Looks like GM calls that thing the E/Gate latch. P/n 16629978 and it's the same part from 93-98 coupes and convertibles. About $75 new from GM. With that broad an application hit the salvage yards and you'll find one for cheap.
