I have a 99 V6 5spd manual. The description of the problems: Started happening all at once, it hasn't gotten any worse, it has stayed the same in the last couple of days. My fifth and reverse are having trouble going in gear. All other gears go in just fine but when shifting from 4th to 5th it sometime doesn't go in at all and I have to reapply the clutch once or even twice before it grinds into gear. Reverse its hit or miss because it will either go in fine one time and then it feels like something is blocking the gear the next. But when it does go into reverse it doesn't grind at all. I did just have my clutch replaced about 6 months ago so I've been told that it could be a pressure plate problem. But I have no idea. Does this sound like a clutch pressure plate or is my transmission going out? Thanks for the help guys.

 

could be a linkage adjustment problem. otherwise i would say the syncro gears are going.
