Default trans 2 - 3 shift

right, i've read common problems sticky and only thing it says if no 31. which is related, 2-3 sluggish above part throttle -> trans on way out -> rebuild.

The problem is that, say i've been driving about 20 mins but no WOT etc, but then open it up and have a good 1->2 shift, then it goes 2->3 but box hessitates like mad, just doesn't shift and hands, slips??
basically doesent engage gear imidiately.

Anyways say I do the same thing like 5 mins later and 2->3 is nice as solid as it should be. Why would this occur randomly, it dosent always do this ?? Could it be the shift solinoid B or something? any ideas?? sureley if it is trans on way out it would be a consitent degridation

Its an auto btw

thanks

Sounds like some kind of computer-engine-tranny link isnt reading something right.. did it only act up when your check engine was on or anything?

nope, all pcm is ok etc (have efikive and checkk all links, codes), just does it randomly, no codes etc

just wondering if anyone else had same issue. Its only usually on the first WOT shift 2->3 of the drive, lie it just forgets that it has to shift or indeed does slip. but then its fine after that?

are you getting a 1870 code? could be in the valve body.

Check your TPS.
The TPS replaces the TV cable used on older trans. witch replaced the vacuum modulator.

So i assume that your saying my TPS might be sticking? It seems fine in the logs but ill got for a drive at some point and open it up and see if it does stick. might be in a while though, its snowy and icy over here

Also the TPS will ware down, being made of plastic and being turned by a metal throttle shaft. Plus a lose connection will cause a problem.
