Default Just bought a Trans Go Shift Kit

I just bought a trans go shift kit-HD2 for my 4L60e tranny. i got a 1995 z28 with a K&N CAI, JET air foil, cutout, flowmaster catback.i forgot the name of the things u put into the shift kit to determine ur peference. u can put in like 3,2, or 1 but i was planning on 2 cuz i want a firm shift and dont want my back tires to lose traction and slam my car into the wall going down infineon's strip. i was thinking that it might decrease my 13.9 by .1 to .2 tenths of a sec in the 1/4 mile so i run a 13.7.

P.S. what do you guys think about this race. ( i think im gonna lose). so kid at my high school just got a 2005 GTO manual and wants to race me. from my own knowledge i know they run 13's cuz there heavy cars, but whats yours guys say. its got the 400hp LS2 in it while my car has a 300 hp LT1 =(

Don't rule yourself out. Most kids suck at driving a manual trans. It takes a good amount of seat-time to be able to become familiar not only with how to launch your car, but with how to properly power-shift. You should pick up a good set of radials, because his car is going to have a big advantage from the dig.
