Default Tranny swap?

So I’ve been posting here a lot since I got my Camaro... does anyone have a step by step guide on dropping out/installing the tranny on these? The only video I found was terribly shot and I couldn’t tell what bolts they were or weren’t taking out. Any help would be appreciated, cause I don’t want to have to take it to a mechanic (except for a rebuild of the trans itself)

I do not have a step by step but I can give you 2 tips. Common mistake by beginners.

When reinstalling the trans make 100% sure the torque converter is seated. Check youtube for the process. If it is not seated and you start your car you will destroy the front pump and it can send seal cutting metal chips all through the trans. This new damage will most likely be more expensive then the original rebuild.

Get a long 3/8" extension, 30" min. Loosen the bolts between the engine a trans after you have removed trans cross member and slightly lower the back of the trans until you have line of sight on the bolts

Good Luck.
