2 sets of tires meaning 2 sets of rims.. like a nice looking 7.5-8" rim, then use my dad's second set of vette rims for Slicks, for when i know it'll be nice for a couple days.

that actually wasnt on drag radials.
that was hankook ventus something or others. hardest compound tires i have ever used. I will never own a set of hankooks again as long as i live. when the temp was in the low 40s those things would go goofy around corners, they were that hard.

i like Kumhos and Yokohama's(sp?).

only thing i didnt like about kumhos, was during the summer, when the car sat over nite, you could actually see, where the tire formed with the ground a little, like you move car a foot forward, and there's still indents(like, as in, 1/4 of the lug/block) in the tread from the gravel and what not.

I have two sets of tires, although I would never drive with my "DOT approved slicks" they're the M/T ET streets, so they have 3 lines down them and are pretty much a full slick compound. Never will those touch regular roads...But I get by in the winter with my BFG G-Forca T/A's they work when they need to and I don't have another car to take.

Sounds like somebody either needs to lay off the gas when it's wet or get some new tires that are a bit better in the rain.

I have Kumho ecsta asx tires on my camaro. They have a real thick and deep notch in them to throw out water. I've never had a problem with wet roads (I'm in louisiana, and it rains pretty often). Louisiana also has crappy roads with lots of standing water. I've never had a scary indicent, but you have to use common sense somtimes - not just with camaros but with any car in wet conditions. Don't fly through a big puddle of water.

Sometimes I lose traction on wet roads on purpose, though. It's fun to slide around a turn a little bit sometimes (from a stop). The truth is, you can lose traction and get into trouble on dry roads with a camaro, too. It's a rear wheel drive, positraction (on the V8s), solid live axel, torquey car. Again, common sense and a tame right foot are all you need to avoid a problem.
