Hey fans, is there any possible way i can buy rims and tires for my 3.8 and later on down the road get an SS and swap those tires to the SS. Or will the rims be too thin? i know a lot of cars require "bigger engine bigger tires".. but Let me know! thanks!

 

SS = 17" rims atleast for some years

 

Depends on what wheels you buy, I'm running ss wheels and tires now. But the stock 16 will also fit an ss no problems.

 

yes, the wheels will fit, 8.5-9 in wide rim is stock for both v8 and v6 cars. and yes can go wider, will effect mpg more with v6 but other than that same

 

My bad, I was thinking of putting the tires on the SS rims. The SS rims are pretty nice. I was thinking about swapping my aftermarket 18" rims for some SS rims.
