timing help!!!

Default timing help!!!

i have a 2000 ss slp. 6 speed. cam, heads, and other little things. well the timing chain snapped in it. also replaced the crank sensor. now the car will start but not stay running unless i keep my foot on the gas and runs like ***! heard i need to put it on a gm tech 2 to time the motor again?! also a possibility of bent valves? is there any sound i should listen for if the valves are bent??

popping at high idle either through the carb or out the exhaust. Sick
