Default Throttle stuck omfg

Scariest thing ever.... going 70 in rush hour traffic and all of a sudden everyone one brakes and my throttle gets stuck. I tried everything and couldnt get it to stop. Finally I just pulled it over threw it in park and killed it. Everything looked fine so I took it to the shop to have it looked at and the guy tells me the floor mat is getting up into something behind the pedal... I dont know guess I will have to look at it myself when I get her back tomorrow. All I know is when I tried pulling the pedal towards me with my foot it didn't work. Hope he is right.

The floor mat deal happens to me, only it gets harder to accelerate... I have to pull it back so i can drive the speed limit.. if i didnt care about my carpet id take it out.... I suggest getting alot of velcro pads and stickin em up in there... or some sort of latch. VW Jettas use kinda like a button to snap theirs into the floor so they dont move around as easily.

The guy who fixed it said he pulled tons of carpet fibers out of the cable behind the pedal. It makes sense but I will have to take a look at it to understand what he is talking about. I checked my cc and my throttle body myself and the guy also checked it and everything looks fine. I am just going to buy those nice black plastic mats with the red bowtie. Maybe seat covers to match since my seats look like ****.
