the LS1s are pretty fast, ive never driven one or raced one so i couldnt tell ya. I work for a Ford dealership and i would never in 10000 years be able to find a deal that good.. Those cars usually run around 10 grand...

wait so you never felt it shift? Idk you should be careful because they could be telling you they modified it when really that "difference in performance" your feeling is something broken. I assume the dealership has the car under "As is no warranty". Id find out which mechanic is working on it over at Chevy and ask him to look at the tranny..

I paid 8500 for mine, its a 98 Z w/ 100,000miles and only had tires, brakes, and a batery changed
but now I have to change the bottom idler pully but thats no big deal
my car looks brand new except the ashtray lid is broken
