Default And there she goes..

The inevitable has finally happened; my car will not crank or anything at all. I've been waiting for it to happen for a while now because I figured it was the optispark. I still have all the power inside the car so I know it's not the battery. I do have one question before I start tearing my baby apart; could it be anything other than the optispark with my previous problems of rough running and idling? I was wondering if it could possibly be the fuel pump or something else?

The optispark will not keep your car from cranking. As for rough running, it may be the opti, but it could also be a dozen other things.

Starter does not click. When it stops raining, I'm going to check the starter wires and starter nut.

check for power to the big wire on the starter. should have power all the time. check for power to the small wire when the key is turned to the start position. if no power to the small wire on start then its in the ignition and not the motor. in this case it could be a few things. vats, theft devise, wiring, ignition switch, nutural switch on shifter, bad connection, and whatever i forgot.

Vats? I'm thinking about selling it after I fix it. I want an older camaro. They're easier to work on ha ha.

Default For craby

So, I read somewhere that a bad battery or alternator could cause all of the problems I'm having. Whether it be something as simple as a terminal or all of it just has to go. But, I'm a little skeptical on that. Mainly because I have to worst luck with any car I buy and it can't be that simple. But what are your thoughts on that craby?
