Default Temperature Question

I've been noticing that my '94 Z28 has been getting pretty hot, up to about 225 or so, when I'm sitting in traffic, then cools back down to about 210 and lower as I start to drive. It should be noted that I live in Northwest Arkansas and it's mid 90's with humidity. I've checked the radiator, which is full, and when I park the car I can the water bubbling out to the over flow (I think). I'm not seeing any leaks but just wonder if others experience this. It does not over heat, engine and radiator have been replaced 75,000 miles ago. The thermostat is a few years old also. I checked the over flow tank and couldn't tell if it was low or what so I put a little antifreeze in it and this evening noticed it as pushing the antifreeze out onto the street...which is not good, thankfully there are no pets around here..
Thoughts???

That is about normal for those cars, just make sure both fans a running when the engine gets really hot.

when was the last time the coolant and thermostat was changed? might be a good idea to flush the radiator and engine while your at it. test temp sensor.

I replaced the radiator cap and since I didn't have time to check the fuses to the fans I went ahead and replaced those as well. The gurgling noise stopped and the car did seem to stay cooler but now the water pump is leaking...ugh! I've had problems with this water pump before, about 6 months ago it started to leak and I took it in to have it changed and it had sealed itself back. I also haven't had a chance to listen to see if the fans are coming on but I've read that there is something within the water pump that signals those fans to come on. Could that be the root of the problem? What do you all think?
And the coolant hasn't been flushed since the engine install about 3 years ago, thermostat is probably about 3 1/2 year old.
