well i had posted a while back how my car makes that griding sound when im coming off the clutch, its horrible, people think i cant drive a stick when they hear it, but im replacing the clutch and having the flywheel resurfaced and all that soon, im hoping its just the release bearing, which it sounds like to me and what everyone else has told me..for those of you who have suggestions or dont remember what i posted...when im coming off the clutch is when it grinds, NOT going into gear, the car is already in gear and im coming off the clutch and as its engaging it will grind...and it does it in every single gear, even reverse. and it seems like it does it more if the car is hot, or ive been driving it a lil bit...i can usually keep it from doing it if i keep the rpms lower than 1500 while coming off the clutch in first, but sometimes it will still do it no matter even if i come off at 1100 rpms...and then going into second/third etc.. its not as loud as it is in first of reverse but it still does it?? idk what it could be

 

Could be the release bearing, but also may be damaged fingers on the pressure plate. You will find out for sure when you replace the clutch, an then the whole discussion will be moot.

 

its really embarrassing and really annoying, i just hope its the release bearing or something in the clutch, cause i cant afford a trans at the moment
