I think I get what he's saying, I'll try to clarify a bit...

When he presses on his brake petal the interior lights go out. He checked all of the bulbs and one ground and they were all fine, so he wants to know what else it could be. When he turns on his lights at night, or when the auto lights turn themeselves on he gets the same result.

Hope that helps clarify for eveyone...Pete, fire away!

im sorry i confused everyone, what i meant was that when ever i press my brake pedal, instead of my tail lights brightening they backout, but my third brake light brightens up. thats when the lights are in auto mode, when i turn the light switch alway to the right its the same result with the tail lights going out, the guy at Advance Auto Parts said it sounds like its my brake switch thats located under the dash near the brake pedal, anyone agree?

p.s when i said the inner lights go out i meant the light bulbs on the center of the taillight housing
