t-top removal and lock change

any one every changed the lock on a t-top????

One of my t-tops is missing a lock in it. That's just how the car came. I don't even know what those locks are for. I mean you have to get inside the car to open the t-tops anyway, so what good would a lock do?

You might have someone riding with you that wants to be a wise *** and see what happens when they pull the handle. I tried locking my t-tops, but you can still turn the handle a bit. I just leave them unlocked because I don't want to break something because I forgot that they're locked. As for changing the locks I'm only assuming that you have to take off the plastic trim piece on the t-top and should be able to access the lock and put the new one in by observing how you took out the old one.

ya lockin ur t-topsis wise my friend cassie was with me the other day and was messin with the handle tryin to turn it and i freaked out on her so i always lock them lol

I have never had a t-top car. so when it is locked it can still be opened. that sucks

Because friends are asses and like to open your t top on the freeway and watch it smash into a million pieces and then say oops i just wanted to see what would happen. Idiot!. Also so people wont steal them

Hahaha. Well my passanger t-top has a lock in it, its my driver one that's missing it. So I guess that won't happen to me, unless I let those idiots drive it....
