Default T-top question/problem.

I have a 99. Today was a sunny day. So I decided to take the t-tops off for the first time since I've owned the car. When I went to put them in the trunk, it seemed like they didn't fit in the slots. No matter how I angled them the t-top seemed to be too wide to slide in the slots. Am I missing something? If anyone can post pics of how the tops look in the trunk that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

The T-Tops have a metal bar that comes out of the plastic when the handle is latched into position. You need to have the handle turned so the metal rods are inside the T-Tops

I was putting the tips in glass side first. Opposite of the handle your talking about. And it still seemed like it was too wide for the slots.

They don't go in glass side first, they go the other way. Flip them over (glass on top, plastic/handle on bottom) and have them so the handle is facing you (facing out towards the rear of the car). They slide into place and you can then turn the handle to lock the tops into the holder (those metal rods come back out and lock into the holder).

Okay. Thanks for the tip. I'll try that.
