Default swap

I found a camaro here in Houston that I'm thinking about buying. It has a blown transmission. It's a v8 but I have a v6. I was thinking could I drop the engine and the whole suspension Idk what it is called when the whole front end is pulled from the body from the bottom, and will it bolt up to my frame. It should right?? And I could just get the tranny rebuilt? The reason why I'm not just rebuilding the tranny is the body is in horrible shape paints chipped off and fenders missing like he began to part it out but didn't get far. The interior is gone lol but the car runs engine runs good. Thinking about rebuilding it while it's out as a personal project.

They are both 98's? There is a thread in the V6 section that starts out as kind of a joke but there is good info towards the end. The swap is a little easier if they are the same year. You are going to need a lot of the elctrical system/radiator/rear end.
