subwoofer questions
okay another amp question there is a clarion APA250 its a 200watt max will it work with my subs? because i saw the specs and it said that it was 100watts by 4 ohms doont i want something a little better than that?
RMS is 70.7% of max power roughly some brands don't comply with the CEA2006 rating system for power. 200 RMS per sub would mean you would at least want an amp that is 400 or more RMS... more is better because then the amp won't have to work as hard to push the subs properly.
if your running that clarion amp you fell way way way short on your amp here is from clarion's web site
Maximum Power Output 200 Watts
Continuous Average Power Output 100 Watts (50 Watts × 2 Channels Into 4 Ohms 20Hz-20kHz)
Typical 2-Ohm Stereo 100 Watts × 2 Channels @ 0.5% THD
Switchable Bass Boost Contorol 0dB/6dB/12dB
Adjustable 50Hz-250Hz, High-/Low-Pass Crossover
Speaker Level Inputs
first it's a two channel amp so to get 200 and that is max 100 rms roughly... it can be bridged to one 4 ohm sub. you can also run 2ohm per channel but not bridged. you running 4ohm per channel will be getting 50 rms so 25 per sub... 125watts rms short of your subs.

my personal suggestion would be to go to a local car audio shop and have them school ya cuz your set up is gonna suck... and then blow. you will have to run your amp at max gain it will distort and blow your subs faster than a head gasket will blow on a DSM. Trust me i do this for a living i am a Best Buy Autotech. I have been in the car audio biz for over 6 years and i am currently a MECP Advanced Tech. take your set up to a shop and have them do it for you and possibly show you some amp that will work for your subs. if you have two 150watt rms subs you need an amp that will put out 300rms. you want a mono amp that is 2ohm stable and is 300 rms so that would be aprox 600 max. if you get a little bigger that is perfectly fine you won't have to have the gain set as high and will run fine and cooler than if you run that little dinky amp full blast.
ok here is a run down of my system i have a pioneer dehp5100ub, steering wheel control adapter, two pair of infinity kappa 6.5" comps, one pair of 4" infinity kappa's coax, have two kicker L7 8"subs in a custom built box, a custom amp rack with a power acoustik 1600.4 and a 200.1 mono. here is some pics

That is a nice setup okay I am glad that I didnt get that amp so I am going to look around foor something alot better and I got a quick question how did you get those speakers in trunk sides? Is it just because the later 4th gen version
