Default STILL waiting on settlement check..

This is freaking crazy! 2 weeks later? Really? We're suppose to get a fedex package tomorrow to sign some stuff and then we will be in contact with a field agent. Please tell me this so called "field agent" will be giving me some money??? We never were offered a rental so she's adding $200 to our check but I'm sure it wouldve cost way more than that had we rented one these past 2 weeks.

Anyway my son wants a 3rd Gen with a V8 this time. I think it's crazy as I've BTDT already and I'm scared of the miles that will be on one. Before making a trip to test drive one, what are some questions to ask?

This is the one that he has his mind set on so far:

You'll find out insurance companies love to take your money every month and wont hesitate to send you an intent to cancel you if your a day or two late, but when it comes time to stroke a check, theyre no so expedient.

as far as a 3rd gen... I had a nice one several years back. If taken care of, they can make a decent driver. As with any car, ask for service records and reiepts to back up claims of oil changes and other maintenance. If the seller does his own work, then he should still have a folder with reiepts in it and idealy, a service log kept in a notebook or something.....

I was looking at 3rd gens when I got mine. Read everywhere how woefully underpowered those cars were, even with the 350. Those IROC's are sharp looking cars though. I guess, like anything, you can build power into them, but all the reading I did steered me to the next generation, unfortunately not to an LS1 though...lol
