Starter? Starter wires? Or fusible link?
Pulled over to get some gas and went to start my car and the starter had low power and so I start looking around and continue trying to start it and noticed white smoke from the starter area and then the car lost all electrical power. There's definitely a short. If I connect a jumpbox or something to it it will still turn over but very weakly.
is it more likely to be a burnt wire, burnt starter, or the fusible link being burnt?

if its getting power to the starter with jump then its not fusible link. remover starter and test or have it tested. a short in the starter windings will cause major power draw that will make starter smoke. inspect wires to starter to see if they are looking sad, partly melted or disfigured.

injectors have a low voltage signal from the pcm. inspect and clean the battery cable ends and the battery post/connection, the lead at the battery connection can get a coating on it that limits amps getting through.
