Default starter

ok i changed my starter a total of 4 times now (only paid for 1 cuz i warranted 2 out and core charged another) Well i have a new new new starter in my car and it will just make a click sound when i turn the key (probably when the starter hits the fly wheel). After a few times it will start.
Ive changed my power wires ignition control module and my key.
I finally think it is my flywheel that is either warped or miss-aligned from when i had my clutch replaced a year ago (about when this all happened)
is there anyway i can know for sure or any help?

That starter needs to be shimmed properly to align with the teeth right. There should have been a little tool and a couple of shims in the box with the new starter. Even if the factory one didnt need shims the new one may. It is the machine work on the starter that determines if it needs shims or not, not the block. Every starter could be different. Also just a loud click is sometimes an issue with hung brushes. Thump the starter a couple times with a hammer to see if you can unhang them. The solenoid can sometimes shake them free but a hammer works best. Also how is the battery? a dead or dying battery may need to be warmed up a little before it can put out enough to start the car. This is not uncommon. you try a couple times and get the plates in the battery warm then all of a sudden it has the power to start you up. If that is the case then the battery is about dead and it is time for a new one.

as far as shims ive put 0 all the way to 4 shims and still just clicks. if i unbolt the starter from the car and start it the starter will spin no problem. as far as battery it could be part of the prob
