May just be my laptop speakers, but that don't sound like a spark as much as it sounds like a ticking. More like a lifter tick. If you are sure it is a sparking noise, look to see if you can see any plug wires arching.

yah stick your hand down there and see if it shocks ya. start er up and turn the lights off and check for light show. i cant hear anything sparking. could be a lose spark plug or exhaust leak but most likely what duck said.

try unplugging the EVAP purge valve and see if it goes away. I cant hear what you are talking about here at work so I am guessing on what it could be. I have heard mine cycle a few times and I could not believe how loud it was. The purge valve is the black thing with the hose and 2 wires in the place you circled. Just unplug the 2 wires. Also doing this may throw a code, no biggy, it may clear once it is plugged back in or just go to the AP store and clear it. I will listen to the vid when I get home from work tomorrow.

I think Massey is pointing you to the noise unless you are hearing something other than the purge valve. I started my daughters 98 and I hear the same noise coming from that valve sounding just like what I hear when I play your vid.

and you might be right because that the seems like the main source of the sound

If it is the source of the sound dont worry about it too much. Unless you get a code for a bad purge valve I would not worry about it.
